I recently had the chance to photograph a session with Haven and Alex couples session in Homer, Alaska. It was winter, and the overcast skies added a unique charm to the day. We started off with an in-home session, which was relaxed and fun. Their two dogs were so excited to be part of the action as well!

The session began in their kitchen, where they spent time chatting and laughing. The atmosphere was laid-back, which made it easy to capture real, unscripted moments. Haven and Alex were naturals in front of the camera, and the dogs provided so much entertainment and jumping around!

After we wrapped up indoors, we headed to a nearby beach. The winter air was so crisp, and the beach was mostly empty, offering the perfect, peaceful backdrop. Haven and Alex seemed at ease, walking along the shoreline with the ocean stretching out behind them.

This session was all about authenticity. From the comfort of their home to a simple walk on the beach, every part of the day was genuine. It was a reminder that the best photos often come from just letting people be themselves.
