I want your session to be an experience and SO MUCH MORE than just standing in front of the camera in a stiff pose. During your session I am constantly giving you prompts and posing you in ways that allow natural movement. I will also give you prompts that you can interpret in your own way. This helps make sure that we are capturing the real you!

How do I get my photos delivered?
All images are delivered through an online gallery. From there they can easily be downloaded in multiple file sizes and shared with friends and family. There is also the option to order prints, albums and more directly through the photo gallery. All galleries remain active on the site for 90 days.
Trust me, I know how unpredictable the weather in Alaska can be. It could be raining in the morning and snowing by evening. Yucky weather doesn't have to ruin your session! I'm a big fan of the wind in your hair, and rain drops on rosy cheeks. If it's below freezing temps then I will come ready with hand warmers to share, and we can take as many warm up breaks in the car as we need to. With that being said, a reschedule may be necessary depending on the situation (if you have small children, if the road conditions are unsafe, etc). If this is the case, I am always flexible with rescheduling. I want to make sure that your session is the best experience possible, and that you are comfortable above all else.
What if the weather is bad?
Do you Travel?
Although I am located in Homer, I am always down to travel anywhere on the Kenai Peninsula for weddings and photoshoots. I am also available to take on a few weddings outside of the Peninsula when my schedule allows. Travel fees do apply anywhere beyond a 40 mile radius of Homer.
Having trouble thinking of where you want to take your photos? I can help with that! I am regularly scouting new locations and finding which spots look best during the constant changing of seasons in Alaska. I have a variety of locations whether you are looking for the woods, the beach or a flowery field.
How do I pick a location?
Laurel was super professional and on top of her game!. We met a few times prior to the wedding to chat about time and locations and certain shots that were important to me. She went out of her way to accommodate my crazy schedule. She showed up at 4 different times and locations. She was prompt and helped make our wedding so special. She captured our love and our family so well.
Booking Laurel to be our photographer was the best decision we made for our wedding! Before the wedding she took the time to get to know me and ask questions she knew would be important to me on the wedding day. She was truly amazing!!! I felt so comfortable with her and can truly say I loved every single photo she took! Laurel captured every moment I could've wanted and captured all the little details so I won't forget them. Having her as our photographer was the most wonderful decision and I can't wait for the next time I'm on the other side of her camera!

Laurel was a lifesaver; she was so helpful and soothing while I was getting ready, very assertive about providing direction for the photos and setting up for the ceremony, and by the end of the experience, I can honestly say that I consider this talented young lady a friend! AND the icing on the wedding cake---her photos were AMAZING! Delivered promptly, abundant, easy to access for the family, and beautiful. She truly captured the best moments of that special solstice for us. We will hopefully be hiring her again for a family reunion in 2023. Thank you Laurel!
