Photographing Kezrin and Margie’s engagement session in Homer, Alaska, was an experience that combined breathtaking landscapes with a memorable milestone!
Kezrin proposed to Margie during their trip to Alaska, setting the stage for this memorable session. Margie’s visit to Alaska marked her achievement of exploring all 50 states. To commemorate, they planned a photo shoot in Homer.
Our starting point was The Spit, a classic spot in Homer that never disappoints in delivering stunning views. We began on the beach at low tide, where the mountains beautifully framed the horizon, a perfect backdrop for their engagement photos.
We then captured the harbor from a variety of angles, and even spotted a sea otter while we wandered the docks. They saw the wild Fireweed freshly in bloom, got to make a stop at the famous “Spit Swing”, and watched boats come in and out of the harbor.
Beyond capturing these moments, I made sure to share some insider tips with Kezrin and Margie, recommending the best coffee spots and local places for lunch! This ensured their visit to Homer was as fulfilling culturally as it was visually rewarding.
As our session wrapped up, it was clear that they had truly experienced the essence of Homer. If you’re planning a visit to Homer, consider booking a shoot to document not only your stay but the unique spirit of this town. It’s a great way to capture memories of your trip in a place where the scenery is as remarkable as the moments you create.
Kezrin and Margie’s session serves as a reminder that sometimes the journey and the destination can be beautifully captured together. If you’d like to see a glimpse into their day, keep on scrolling for more!
