There’s something undeniably magical about photographing a couple against the stunning backdrop of Homer, Alaska. I had the pleasure of capturing Carter and Veronica’s engagement session, and it was nothing short of incredible. Carter and I worked together to craft the perfect surprise to add to their weekend getaway in Homer, and I was thrilled to be a part of it.

Our plan was simple. Carter and Veronica went for a little stroll at the end of The Homer Spit. It was just the two of them, surrounded by the natural beauty of Homer. I kept my eye on them from afar and waited for the moment… I captured the proposal from a distance, and gave the couple space to let them experience their emotions without interruption. The joy on Veronica’s face was everything, and the backdrop couldn’t have been more perfect! Without a doubt, this was a memory they’d treasure forever, and I was honored to have captured it for them.

After the excitement, we continued further down the beach to get some photos of the newly engaged couple. Their smiles were contagious, and their excitement was undeniable.
