Kendras in home maternity session in Alaska was beautiful. When it comes to documenting the journey to parenthood, keeping things casual can sometimes capture the true essence of the experience better than any posed photo ever could. Recently, I had the chance to shoot an in-home maternity session with Kendra in Homer, Alaska, and it perfectly highlighted just how special a low-key approach can be.
Homer is known for its stunning scenery, tucked away at the end of the Kenai Peninsula with the Kachemak Bay and Kenai Mountains surrounding it. It’s the kind of place that naturally sets a serene stage for any photo session. Kendra’s house, with its view of these landscapes, was ideal for our shoot!
Opting for an in-home maternity session comes with perks such as the comfort and familiarity of your own space. Kendra felt right at home, literally, which meant she could focus less on posing and more on just being herself with her partner.
Kendra’s session wasn’t about orchestrating the perfect picture, it was about catching a glimpse of her genuine journey into motherhood. It was relaxed, real, and reflective of the life she and her partner are building and a reminder of the everyday moments that form the heart of family life!
