Recently, I got to hang out with this super sweet family in Homer, Alaska where I’m located for a baking maternity session! As a photographer, I’ve been a fly on the wall for a bunch of amazing moments, but this one was all about cozy vibes, laughter, and cookies. Seriously, what’s not to love?

Picture this: it’s one of those chilly days where you just want to bundle up and stay indoors. I walked into their home, and bam, the smell of fresh cookies hits me and it was everything. It’s that comforting scent that instantly makes you feel at home, ya know?

In the kitchen, the mama to be was absolutely glowing, and not just because of the bun in the oven. Alongside her was her husband and their little boy, who was already knee deep in cookie dough and loving every second of it. I swear, watching kids in the kitchen is cute chaos. It’s messy, it’s unpredictable, and it’s totally fun!!

Their son was an absolute bundle of joy, with a smile that could light up a room. He was in his little world, smooshing dough and giggling at the messes!

Shooting this session was a total treat, capturing the small, candid moments that define family life. The laughter, the sweet moments, and the pure affection were real, not staged. That’s the best part about my job, getting to freeze these moments of honest, everyday love.

To the lovely family counting down to baby number two, thanks for letting me crash the cookie party! It was an absolute blast capturing the love in your kitchen.
